Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) Protocol

As essential healthcare providers we remain open to those needing reproductive, and abortion care. In response to the recent surge in COVID-19 (coronavirus) infections in the United States, and worldwide, Southwestern Women’s has developed an updated protocol. This protocol is based on Center for Disease Control (CDC), Texas Department of State Health Services, and New Mexico Health Department guidelines to reduce the risk of transmission among patients and staff.

We will not see you and you will have to reschedule if you have the following symptoms:

Fever
Cough
Shortness of breath

If you have been exposed to someone who is known or suspected to be infected with the coronavirus in the past two weeks, you will need to reschedule your appointment.  If you unsure if you should reschedule, please contact us. Contact information for both the Dallas, TX and Albuquerque, NM clinic can be found at the bottom of this page.

If you have a mask that you can travel with and wear during your appointment, bring it with you.

In order to maintain appropriate distancing between visitors, we ask non-patients to wait in their vehicles. We will reserve the limited space in the waiting room only for patients. If appropriate, patients may join their support people in the parking lot between steps of the office visit.

We are grateful for your understanding during this challenging time.
