Trump Rescinds Title X “Family Planning” Funding for Abortion Providers

On Thursday, Trump singed a bill which rescinds Title X funding for organizations that also provide abortion care. Title X, or “Family Planning” funding is earmarked for birth control, fertility treatment, pregnancy care, and cervical screenings. Now individual states must address how they will allocate the funding. This is a clear attack on planned Parenthood and other abortion providers who provide a range of reproductive health care, including abortion. These cuts are devastating for communities that already have so many barriers to accessing health care.
